Bittersweet is a photo series about briefly letting go of the responsibility to play and observe like when we were kids; without fear of repercussions.

Climb a tree and risk scraping your legs. Disregard bacteria, pick up something dead and fascinating. Go to the beach and get covered in sand then climb back into your car to drive home. Make a damn good mess. Give yourself the grace to let go and live in the present without a sense of time or place.

Flow moments are these moments when we are totally immersed in something and there exists a sense of fluidity between the body and mind. Each photograph represents a flow moment where we can momentarily let go. Created as a reminder to continue exploring, making a mess, and stop caring. Bittersweet is about continuing to play in our natural world even as we get older.
